About Me

I am a US Air Force veteran. I retired in 2008 after serving 20+ years on active duty. I took a two year sabbatical then went back to work for the federal government in 2010. My life was happy and joyous while I enjoyed serving God, my family, and friends. In 2016, my life took a huge detour plunging me into depression and despair. Through my faith in God and a superb support system I climbed my way out from the darkness and into the light. Although my life changed dramatically, I am blessed to have a loving daughter, two step-daughters, and five grandchildren as well as an awesome mom, two brothers, and wonderful close friends. Writing is my therapy and has helped me tremendously in my grief journey. I look forward to sharing expressions from my heart with you. My hope is that my words and experiences can somehow help you on your journey.
